About Us:

We are a young growing church. We strive to reach out to our community through the Love of God. We are located in Lansford, Pa. which is at the foothills of the Poconos. We are only 5 miles away from Jim Thorpe.  Lansford's hay day was when coal was king. As a church we want to share the joy and healing power of God.

Doctrines and Beliefs

How do I get to Heaven:
It is by nothing we can do. It is a gift of God, not by our works or being good.
The Bible says that by having faith in Jesus Christ as the son of God, and personally receiving Him as Lord and Savior are you saved. Confessing that you are a sinner in need of a Savior. Believing that Christ died on the cross for your sins, his blood covering your sins, and then Christ being raised from the dead, and therefore repenting of your old life and being born again.
(John 3:16; Romans 10:9; Ephesians 2:8 & 9)

I - THE SCRIPTURES
We believe in the divine inspiration and authority of the Scriptures. By this is meant a miraculous guidance of the Holy Spirit in their original writing, extending to all parts of the Scriptures equally, applying even to the choice of words, so that the result is the very Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. Moreover, it is our conviction that God has exercised such singular care and providence through the ages in preserving the written Word, that the Scriptures as we now have them are in every essential particular as originally given and contain all things necessary to salvation.
II - GOD
We believe in the one God revealed as eternally existing in three equal persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the Holy Spirit as a divine person, a personality distinct from the Father and the Son.
III - SATAN
We believe that God created an innumerable host of angels, some of whom followed the lead of Lucifer, now called Satan, in rebelling against God, thereby bringing sin into the universe. We believe in Satan's complete defeat by the Lord Jesus Christ.
IV - THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature and, in case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. And with such a nature, they are incapable of producing anything acceptable to God.
V - JESUS CHRIST SON OF GOD
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man. We believe that He died for the sins of men as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that His death was a sufficient expiation for the guilt of all men. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate.
VI - SALVATION
We believe that men are justified by grace through faith, on the ground of the shed blood of Christ, and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Personal Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.
VII - LIFE AFTER DEATH
WE believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved, and the everlasting conscious blessedness of being in the presence of the Lord, we also believe in the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in Hell.
VIII - THE RESPONSIBILITY OF A BELIEVER
We believe that it is the supreme responsibility of believers to testify to the saving power of Christ's gospel, both personally and by proxy, at home and to the uttermost part of the earth.
IX - HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that it is the duty of each believer to live a holy life unto God, keeping himself unspotted from the world, and that it is God's intention that this shall be accomplished in the believer's life by his constant dependence on the divine enablement of the indwelling Holy Spirit. We believe that this experience of deliverance from sin and empowerment for service is designated in the Scriptures as the filling with the Spirit rather than His baptism. Thus the baptism with the Spirit is not an experience to be sought subsequent to regeneration, but is already an accomplished fact.
X- GOD’S PLAN THROUGHOUT THE AGES
We believe that God in the Scriptures has progressively revealed Himself through successive ages, during each of which man has been tested in respect of obedience to some specific revelation of the will of God; and we believe further that this dispensational viewpoint provides the key to correct interpretation of the plan and purpose of God in the world, past, present and future, as it relates to the Church, to Israel and to the nations. We believe in the actual offering of a kingdom to Israel by Christ at His first coming, and His postponement thereof as a result of their rejection. We believe that Israel, as well as the Church and nations, is included in the future aspects of God's Will.
XI - CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe that the powers that be are ordained of God for the benefit of human society, and are to be honored, prayed for, and obeyed, where by obedience to their laws and decrees we are fully persuaded in our own minds that we are not acting contrary to the will of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ-the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, otherwise we are justified on Scriptural grounds in refusing to submit.
XII - A NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH
We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ had its historical beginning at Pentecost; is composed solely of believers; is the Body and Bride of our Lord; is distinct from Israel; and that it will be completed as believers fulfill their duty by making Christ known, until His second coming. We believe that a New Testament church is a body of baptized believers associated for Christian worship, observing the ordinances and governed by the laws of Jesus Christ, striving together for the faith of the Gospel, and exercising the God-given gifts to His glory and for the perfecting of the believers and that its only scriptural officers are Pastors or Bishops(Elders) and Deacons.
XIII - ORDINANCES
(1) Christian Baptism - We believe that Christian Baptism, according to the Word of God, is the Immersion in water of believers in Christ into the name of the Father, and Son, and Holy Spirit - a symbol of our faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior and of ours with Him.
IN order to be baptized one must have accepted Christ as their personal Savior, and be ready to take on the responsibility of being an out ward testimony for Christ. The purpose of Baptism is that of Identification. Baptism does not save, does not wash away sins, and has no mystical results.
Although no one is perfect, there are some situations that may occur where the Pastor or elders do not in good conscience feel it to be right to baptize someone who is in a current sinful situation. Baptism should take place as soon as passable after they are saved, but do to so many people putting baptism off so long, they must realize that in baptism they represent Christ. ( in other wards make sure you are practicing what you are preaching before you get baptized). The New Testament Christian baptized by Jesus and his disciples were claiming identification with Christ in their baptism.
(Ephesians 5:8-16; Acts 2:38, 1 Timothy 1:1-7).
(2) The Lord’s Supper - WE believe that the Lord’s Supper is a provision of bread and wine, representing Christ’s body and blood, partaken of by believers in Christ and assembled for the purpose in commemoration of the death of their Lord; showing their faith and participation in the merits of His sacrifice, their dependence on Him for spiritual life, and their hope of life eternal through His resurrection from the dead; its observance to be preceded by faithful self -examination, and asking for forgiveness of sins. (Mark 14:22-25; 1 Cor. 11:17-34)
XII- THE RAPTURE
We believe that at any moment the Rapture of the saved may occur, when "the Lord himself shall descend from heaven" to catch up His people to meet Him "in the air" and deliver them from the period of judgment on the earth designated in Scripture as the 70th Week of Daniel (The Great Tribulation)..
XIII- THE END TIMES
We believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ after the 70th Week of Daniel( 7 Year Tribulation). He will then set up His kingdom upon the earth for His thousand-year reign, after which He will deliver the kingdom to the Father, that the Godhead may be all in all.
